Hello!
I am an interior and lighting designer based in New York City, currently pursuing a dual-degree Master of Fine Arts in Interior Design and Lighting Design at the Parsons School of Design.
My work lies at the intersection of space, light, and human experience. I approach design as an interdisciplinary practice — one that bridges emotion, culture, and functionality. My process often draws from diverse influences such as theater, art, music, science fiction, and history, allowing me to think beyond form and function to craft experiences that evoke connection, comfort, and awareness.
For me, design is not just a profession — it is a way of understanding and shaping the world. I believe that thoughtful spaces have the power to influence behavior, inspire emotion, and foster well-being. Through my work, I aim to create environments that are sensory, sustainable, and deeply human — spaces that are felt before they are seen.
In the near future, I aspire to become a licensed architect and expand my expertise in lighting design, continuing to explore how illumination defines spatial emotion, rhythm, and memory.

My Background
I was born in Tamil Nadu, South India, and raised in Hyderabad. My academic and professional journey has taken me across regions — from pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Dehradun to working as a designer in Mumbai, before moving to the United States for my master’s studies.
Growing up amidst diverse cultures and environments has shaped how I perceive design — as a language of empathy, adaptability, and storytelling. This multicultural background continues to influence my sensibilities, encouraging me to design spaces that are globally aware yet personally intimate.
I believe in equity, sustainability, integrity, and action, and strive to reflect these values through every aspect of my design practice — envisioning a future where spaces not only house life, but enrich it.
